Active Response Training was founded by Greg Ellifritz in 2001 as a Limited Liability Corporation (LLC). Our primary mission at that time was to provide the most realistic, innovative and effective women’s self defense training available.
Demand for our classes increased and we expanded our course offerings. While we still provide numerous women’s self defense classes, our primary current focus of instruction is in the fields of advanced firearms tactics, the use of edged weapons, and Tactical First Aid.
What differentiates Active Response Training from most training companies is the experience and professionalism of our instructors. All instructors in our organization have the highest level law enforcement and civilian teaching certifications combined with extensive practical experience both operationally and in the classroom.
We have worked with everyone from 85-year old grandmothers to Tier One Special Operations personnel. A partial list of past clients includes:
Nationwide Insurance
Columbus Speech and Hearing Center
