I don’t do many video interviews and I don’t often talk about police topics anymore. My friend Warren Wilson convinced me to do both.
Warren is writing an article for Police 1 about the hazards of off duty police intervention and wanted to interview me about the topic as a supplement to his article. In the interview, I tell two personal stories of off duty intervention with negative implications and one additional story about an off-duty shooting that got one of my coworkers thrown in jail and fired.
Even though the interview is primarily intended for off-duty cops, there are some relevant lessons for concealed carriers as well.
For those of you who watch the interview, the details of the second story I described are found in A Cautionary Tale for CCW Carriers. The knife Warren referenced is the Ka-Bar LDK.
Thanks to Warren and Police 1 for the interview. I hope you all enjoy story time from Uncle Greg.
